It's a Scramble Blog Hop with LTSCB

 

Some parts of the world are experiencing cold weather and some are experiencing warm weather. Kinda scrambled, wouldn't you say?! The Love To Scrap! My card was created using a fantastic vintage-style image called Noel Bugle. I actually received both a colored and uncolored image which was great! I used the colored image and then covered it with Gold and Gunmetal Stickles. I used Green and Gunmetal on the tassels and cord and Green and Gold on the Noel and diamonds. I wanted my card to have a vintage look so I added Vintage Silver Frantage as a frame around the image. Tim Holtz Tinsel Ribbon gives a little more shine and is fitting since tinsel is used at Christmas. For added embellishing I chose another RCRW image from a set called Pine and Holly. This set also comes with both colored and uncolored images. I again used a colored holly image and cut it out by hand. It was a little tricky since it is so small and the leaves are so pointy. I used Xmas Red and Green Stickles to brighten it up. I cut 3 of them as you will see in the pictures. Square gems that I turned so that they would look like diamonds to match the image completes my embellishments. For an added vintage look I used Evergreen Bough and Vintage Photo on the edges of the cardstock. Here are the pics:

LTSCB Challenge #66 Anything Goes

I couldn't decide what to do, so I finally settled on doing a page of my library pocket album. I have had this for several years and have never finished it. I've only done the covers and one other page, so it's high time I get on the ball. I call this album Nana's Brag Book. Originally I was going to fill it with pictures of grandchildren. I only have one granddaughter so she is my main focus of course. This is the first page of the album so I wanted to incorporate her name in it. The image that I chose to work with is called Morning Glories from Pickled Potpourri. It comes with 3 images. A large one of a group of flowers, a single morning glory, and a stem of leaves. I have used all three.

In hindsight, I wished that I would have embossed the black cardstock. I think it would have given a more elegant look to the page. I chose to use an acrylic tag for my image and use loose glitter instead of a coloring medium. I printed the image onto a transparency and adhered it to the front of the tag with a sheet of double-sided adhesive. The glitter was applied to the back of the tag using Glossy Accents. I did one color at a time and allowed it to dry a bit before brushing off the excess and doing the next color. When I was finished and it had dried some, I used the glossy accent to adhere it to a piece of gold mirrored paper. I had done a version of this technique a few years ago and love the look of the glitter against the mirror paper. It was a bit time consuming, but I really liked how it turned out. I used my Big Bite to punch a hole in the mirror paper where the tag's hole is so that I could put ribbon through it. I printed out the single flower and leaves onto white cardstock. I colored them with copics. I glittered the whole leaf image, but the flower lost all of its details when I tried to glitter it. I printed out a second one and after coloring it I applied my Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen to it to add the sparkle. I then glittered the leaves and artist marks with the loose glitter and glossy accents. I glued the leaves onto the tag and used foam tape to mount the flower on top of them.

For Keianna's name I just applied alphabet stickers and then covered them with glossy accents and glitter. I added some sequins for a bit more embellishment since it is so plain.

Normally, I would take this opportunity and go all out with a card full of dies, ribbons, flowers, and lots of bling. Unfortunately though I have been very busy. I did not have the time that I needed to do that. Instead, I just whipped up a CAS card, keeping it fairly simple:

 The image is called Flower Hat by Sami Stamps. She is quite the cutie. I just printed her on white cardstock and colored her with Distress Markers. I like my copics better, but they bleed through. As you can see, I had a mishap with my stickles. For some reason, it came running out of the bottle when I tipped it up. I don't know why-it's never done that before. A big drop dripped onto my paper. I tried to wipe it off but the color stayed. I just incorporated it the best way that I could by adding drops of stickles as additional bling. I used my Bow-It-All v2 to make a double loop double bow. I colored white pearls with a Ripe Persimmon Distress Marker and placed sequins around my cat. I used a pearl pen to add drops of "pearl" in the middle of the sequins. My sentiment is stamped with Rich Cocoa Momento ink.
