Find the Hidden Treasure Blog Hop

The Love To Scrap! Challenge Blog design team is excited to bring you our "Find The Hidden Treasure" Blog Hop! We're being sponsored by Pink Gem Designs! Come hop with us for a chance to win 2 single Pink Gem Designs images!
There are three gems hidden somewhere on our blogs. As you hop, look on each design team member's blog to find a hidden gem and be sure to leave some love while you're there! Once you have found all three gems, email the locations where you found the gems (blog names and blog links) to ltscb@mail.com. All the correct guesses will be entered into the drawing for the Pink Gems Designs images!
The LTSCB designers are using gemstones on our inspiration projects. Everyone participating in the blog hop is invited to link up a project using gemstones for an EXTRA entry into the drawing! **Be sure to use the same email address to email your guesses that you use to link up your project so we can make sure you're given two entries into the drawing!**

For my creations I am using a really cute image called Dandelion Wishes. When you purchase this image you get both a black and white image and a colored image. I really like colored images. They are perfect for when you are in a hurry and don't have time to color. I actually made two cards to show versatility: a birthday card and a retirement card. I have been pressed for time this summer, so I used the colored image for both. There are clear gemstones on the dandelion and the small daisies along the bottom as well as the colored gemstones. I think that this image is so cute and you can use it for so many occasions. I printed the second image as a mirror image so that the dandelion is being blown in the other direction. I found a great stamp set on 123stitch.com for the retirement verse. I ordered them especially for my 2nd card because I didn't have anything for this kind of occasion. The "wishes for" came from a word set that I have had for a really long time. I lost the package so have no idea who made them. The DP is from My Minds Eye. I colored the small inside flowers of the 2nd card with a copic marker to match. I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the first card and my Magnolia Doohickey Tilda Lace Die on the inside of the second. Vintage Phote and Abandoned Coral Distress inks were used to ink around the different papers and to stamp the sentiments. I popped different parts of the cards with foam tape for dimension.

Here is the birthday card:

Its another Anything Goes challenge at LTSCB

Welcome-welcome! It's the middle of August which means back to work for me. I work at a school, so when it starts so do I LOL! I am pleased that I am able to share with you this great project for our "Anything Goes" challenge which runs from Aug. 17th to the 30th. As always you must include stamping since we are a stamping blog. We have another 3 great sponsors giving away some fantastic prizes.

 Prize: 3 images to winner

 Prize: 3 images to winner

  Prize: $10 gift certificate

For this challenge I am working with the SLS Lines image Little boy and snowman with Christmas Tree. I thought this was a really cute little scene and couldn't wait to play with it. As usual, since it is anything goes I am trying to stay away from the traditional cardmaking. I decided do a gift bag with tag instead. I started with a plain kraft gift bag and added color using Copics R27 and YG63. I sprayed the color onto the bag using a hand-held air spritzer that you squeeze. It makes my hand hurt but gives a nice covering. I then sprayed the bag with Mr. Huey Shine spritz for the white spots and overall glimmer.

Here is what the finished product looks like:

 The tag:

To make the double-sided tag I printed one image regular and then printed it again as a mirror image. It is the same image I just cut around the boy and snowman because I wanted it to look different than the bag.
I made the red ribbon by coloring white sheer organza ribbon with my R27 copic. I made the bows using my Bow It All v2 by Zutter. The image sheet on the bag is popped with foam squares. I cut a second image of just the boy and snowman with some of the snow and popped them as well.

Supplies:
Kraft gift bag
Paper: DCWV The Christmas Stack
Copics: R22, R24, R 27, E000, E00, E11, YG61, YG63, YG67, E71, E74, E77, G21, G29
Stamps: Digi image Little Boy and Snowman with Tree, To and From (Close to My Heart Its a Party set)
Stickles: Red and Patina for boy and Snowman, Purple, Gold, Yellow, Red for tree
Inks: Distress Tumbled Glass and Close To My Heart (can't remember the shade of green)
Misc: Martha Stewart Around the Page punch, Paper Blossom Pine Branch punch, white Flower Soft, Organza Ribbon, jute bakers twine, foam tape

This was a fun bag. I have never taken on this kind of task before and I did enjoy it. The coloring was the most time consuming thing but I was very pleased with how everything turned out.

Please pop over to the Love to Scrap Challenge Blog and enter for a chance to win some great prizes. Be sure to visit the rest of the DT blogs and leave us all some love. We love hearing from you.

Its "White on White" over at the Love To Scrap Challenge Blog

Welcome to my creation for the White on White challenge at Love to Scrap. For this challenge you can use and color any image but your base and all embellishments must be white. I don't know if I have ever attempted this before but as they say: There's a first time for everything. Here are our fabulous sponsors:

TEAM A:

Prize: $10 gift certificate to winner

Prize: 3 images to winner

Prize: 3 images of choice to winner

I am pleased to have received the lovely Foxglove Enchantress from Lacy Sunshine to work with. She is so lovely. Here is the card that I made:

The inside:

I used a Memory Box butterfly border die and cut it out 3 times. I separated the butterflies from two of them and used them as embellishments. I have never used this type of die before and honestly I am not really sure how to use it properly. I cut one out and then sandwiched it between the base and the DP that I used for the background. I applied Scrappy Cat clear glitter glue to all of the butterflies to dress them up so they weren't just plain white. I also used my Wink of Stella clear glitter brush pen to the outside edge of the floral oval die. I wish you could see the sparkle but it is too subtle. You can however see the glitter glue. I colored my Enchantress with copics and then added stickles for some dazzle. I used a Magnolia heart swirl die behind the flowers and added pearls to the inside of the flowers. There is a Magnolia Vintage tag behind the image, but I forgot to take a picture of it. I will have to add it later. It is a scripture quote that says "Blessed are those who persevere". I am giving this to a lady who is going through chemo treatments. She lost her husband last year and is now battling cancer. I stamped the sentiment and saying with grape Memento ink. The flowers were bought at Michaels in the floral section. I pulled them off the stems and hot glued them to the card. The image is popped with foam tape.

We hope you will join us for our "White on White" challenge. Head on over to the LTSCB for more great inspiration from our lovely DT.
